On the Beyond December project there is a song titled "Carol."  It has a medieval feel to it and is very well crafted.  In December, 1996, First Call had a Christmas television "special" (an intimate Christmas concert aired on a Christian cable station).  On that special, Bonnie talked about the song "Carol," and mentioned that that kind of music has always been a love of Marty's.  She also mentioned before they sang it that Marty would be coming out with a solo album filled with songs in that style.  This is that album, and you have to hear it to believe it.  It does not sound at all like First Call!

When I saw First Call in concert in August, 1997, Marty performed the song "Tribesong," and Bonnie backed him up, although she admitted that she was still learning the song herself.  It was great!
